Since our founding in 2006 as a 21st-century salon, the cell has proudly remained committed to creating a home for artists that provoke thought, ignite emotion, and foster deep connections within our community.

Thanks to your generous support this fiscal year, the cell has commissioned over 60 resident artists, funding 27 projects, including a four-part concert series as well as producing two large-scale ensemble pieces that breathed new life into familiar stories.

the cell has always believed in the power of the process: from early discussions, to experimentation and collaboration, all the way through to public facing presentations. Artists thrive when they have space, time, resources, stipends, creative minds in the room and the reassurance that there’s an organization backing you up every step of the way. With federal aid for the arts at an all time low, this type of support is becoming more and more rare.

This holiday season, we invite you to consider making a tax-deductible donation to the cell to fund, not a product but a process

We look forward to celebrating 20 years of work that mines the mind, pierces the heart and awakens the soul with you. Together we can continue to foster a space where an artists’ process is not just a means to an end but a means to a beginning.
