A series of haunting self-portraits by Miru Kim exploring various urban ruins. A companion short film projection, BLIND DOOR (10 mins 33 secs, 16 mm, B/W), by Miru Kim and Isidore Roussel, was also shown. The exhibit features intimate depictions of the artist’s child/animal-like movements as she interacts with desolate spaces. For Kim and Roussel, these spaces – abandoned subway stations, tunnels, sewers, factories, hospitals, and shipyards – form the internal organs and unconscious of the city. As our gallery hours are flexible, we invite you to contact us for access between events! Closing party at 6pm on Saturday, March 21st.

Along with “Leaves of Grass” we are exhibiting Drawings by Anne Minich with portraits of the artist by our resident photographer/artist, Tina Sarno. Our intention is to illuminate the erotic imagination of women in various stages of life. Drawings and photos will remain on display through November.
