The designs of Iris Loeffler, an emerging designer hailing from Munich, Germany, are molded by experiences in the arts and sciences, including work in the costume department of Munich’s Residentz Theater, in-house apprenticeships with New York designer THREEAsFOUR, Victoria Bartlett, and with Maria Cornejo for ZERO.
Iris’ collection puts a twist on classic draping, creating a modern romantic look for her Fall Winter 2009 collection. Her pieces are clever and simple, using a solid color palette of blacks, whites, grays, and blues, which showcase the structure and fluidity of her designs. Her less form fitting designs highlight the free and independent woman, resulting in a powerful and lasting image.
