the cell is donating its space to support Art For Life, a Haiti benefit. Local artists, musicians, and volunteers are donating their talents to bring the community an evening of entertainment in hopes to raise money for Water Without Borders. Please come join us, enjoy local talent, have some refreshments, and support efforts to aid Haiti.
Water Without Borders was created from the understanding that lack of safe drinking water is the leading cause of disease, civil strife, hunger, and birth defects in the world. Water Without Borders is a nonprofit organization with international reach, dedicated to providing sustainable sources of safe drinking water. So far, our efforts have taken us to South Dakota, Africa, Haiti, and Honduras
Water Without Borders, with help from Verbo Jean Julien and Philip Turnier, is now supplying water to the community of Jacmel City. We are in the process of training people on water safety. These efforts are costing WWB approximately $175 a week, a large portion of our budget. WWB is also working with a local nonprofit in Pierre Payen, called Clean Water for Haiti to bring water to the mountains of Ivoire in Haiti.
