About Kitcaffé

From the literary salons of Italy, the cafe society of Paris and other parts of Europe, Caffe Letterari gave a meeting point for everyone who wanted to make their voice heard.

KITCaffé is a unique event fully dedicated to discovering the Italian Literature in a café’-like atmosphere, while sipping an espresso or a glass of Italian wine.

Professional actors are invited to KITCaffé for dramatic readings of short stories, novels or essays by the most fascinated and beloved Italian authors from the past to the present. At the end of each performance or reading guests engage students in discussions in Italian.

Participants will receive copies of all material.

Following KIT’s tradition, the reading will be first in English followed by its Italian version.

KIT is now recreating its own Salotto-Caffe’ Letterario, hosted by KIT’s ladies, Laura Caparrotti and Marta Mondelli, as well as other surprise guests. Laura Caparrotti and Marta Mondelli, your hosts of KITCAFFE’, will lead the post reading discussion and encourage the exchange of ideas and opinions, while correcting Italian and Italian pronunciation.
