Irish Artists and Writers

The Salon, the brainchild of Malachy McCourt, allows IAW&A members the opportunity to present in the medium of their choice: a reading from a work in progress, a video, a comedy skit, storytelling or a song, whatever the participant would like to present.

The event is meant to be low-keyed and that’s exactly what it is, a group of artists gathered to support one another in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

While you must be a member to present, the proceedings are free and open to all.

For more information on the Salon or joining the IAW&A contact Charles Hale chashale1@yahoo.com

Tribeca New Music Festival

Tribeca New Music, led by composer/artistic director Preston Stahly, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the presentation and performance of an important new genre known as avant pop—composers creatively engaged with our popular culture.  We live in ocean of popular culture (pop music, film, media, art, commercials, the internet, fashion, design, literature, etc.).  The music we program reflects this reality as we challenge, inspire, entertain, and thereby connect the public to the best of new American music.
