ART LIVE returns this year after its successful collaboration with Arteingenua of Italy for its inaugural debut.

This year ART LIVE welcomes Gallery 225, the cell and Haven Arts. ART LIVE is an annual celebration whose sole intention is to bring to public attention current issues presently being addressed by the Arts Community worldwide.

ART LIVE will officially get underway on September 3, 2009 with its launch at Chair and the Maiden Gallery at 6 to 8 pm.

The second installation will take place on 09 September 2009 at Gallery 225 at 6 to 8 pm.

the cell will feature works by Johann Pollak and Shari Belafonte for the month of September and house the internationally acclaimed performance group Dzieci for the month of October.

Haven Arts will present an array of international talents.


Please join us for what is to be the most significant global project of our time.

ART LIVE 2009, a better understanding of the world we live in through Art.

A companion short film projection, BLIND DOOR (10 mins 33 secs, 16 mm, B/W), by Miru Kim and Isidore Roussel, was also shown. The exhibit features intimate depictions of the artist’s child/animal-like movements as she interacts with desolate spaces. For Kim and Roussel, these spaces – abandoned subway stations, tunnels, sewers, factories, hospitals, and shipyards – form the internal organs and unconscious of the city. As our gallery hours are flexible, we invite you to contact us for access between events! Closing party at 6pm on Saturday, March 21st.
