The Salon, the brainchild of Malachy McCourt, allows IAW&A members the opportunity to present in the medium of their choice: a reading from a work in progress, a video, a comedy skit, storytelling or a song, whatever the participant would like to present.

The event is meant to be low-keyed and that’s exactly what it is, a group of artists gathered to support one another in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

While you must be a member to present, the proceedings are free and open to all.

New Year’s Eve. New York City. 1999.

It’s the biggest night of the century. Jennifer & Christopher West, a sophisticated SoHo couple with the seemingly perfect marriage, are throwing an intimate dinner party to ring in a brand new millennium. As doubts swirl regarding fears of Y2K and the end of the world, Jennifer, the consummate hostess, has worries of her own to contend with, making sure all her guests have a wonderful time after discovering that her husband’s having an affair. A host of eccentric friends and loved ones join the brittle gaiety of this New Year’s party with all the tensions so often seething beneath the surface.

The Hive Theatre presents an evening masquerade party that includes a Murder Mystery Game. Hive members will play the characters in the game including victims and the murderer. Guests of the party will have the opportunity to solve the crime. The Murder Mystery will begin around 7p.

Doors open for Cocktail Hour at 6PM.

An additional hour of music, prizes and entertainment will commence upon completion of the mystery at approximately 8:30PM.

There will be Prizes, Silent Auctions, Music & Cheap Drinks Provided.
